Board Certified Oral Surgeon Dr. Alyssa Manski

Dr. Alyssa Manski was born and raised in Wayside, NJ. She earned her undergraduate degree from Elon University in North Carolina, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and minor in biology, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. In 2017, she obtained her dental degree (D.D.S) from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, Maryland. During dental school, she developed a strong interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery and was drawn to the wide scope and complexity of cases the specialty had to offer.

Dr. Manski completed six years of residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During this time, she earned her medical degree (M.D.) from Sidney Kimmel Medical College and completed a general surgery internship. Her comprehensive training included orthognathic surgery, management of obstructive sleep apnea, facial trauma, and dentoalveolar surgery.

While at Jefferson, Dr. Manski was heavily involved in research, presenting several abstracts and publications at national conferences.

During a rotation at Nemours Alfred I. Dupont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware, Dr. Manski developed a special interest in caring for pediatric patients. She subsequently pursued a fellowship in Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery at the Florida Craniofacial Institute in Tampa, Florida. There, she received advanced training in the management of craniofacial anomalies, pediatric pathology and anesthesia, and orthognathic surgery.

After completing her fellowship, Dr. Manski practiced in Florida for one year prior to relocating to North Carolina to join Capital Oral & Facial Surgery.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Manski enjoys spending time with her husband. Together, they love traveling, playing golf, long bike rides, and cooking new recipes. She is also passionate about dog training and participates in AKC canine sports and competitions with her Belgian Shepherd, Toby.

Dr. Manski is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
